Juan di Sandro (1898 - 1962)

Juan Di Sandro was one of Argentina's first professional photographers, and is known as the father of local photojournalism. His photographs became icons of a country undergoing the construction of its national identity. He often took areal photographs and is known for his open city shots. Di Sandro was a vital part of the well-known group of Argentina's 

professional photographers in the fifities called "la carpeta de los diez".
